This notice explains how personal information is handled when someone visits the Positioned Right website or contacts the business. The website does not contain an enquiry form and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Who is responsible
Daniel Manning, trading as Positioned Right, is the data controller. Privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@positionedright.com.
Information collected
When you visit the website, the hosting provider may process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser information and server-log data. If you contact Positioned Right by email, the information received may include:
- your name, email address and organisation;
- the contents of your enquiry and any information you choose to include;
- subsequent correspondence and project records if we work together.
Why it is used
The information is used to respond to enquiries, assess whether the service is a suitable fit, prepare and perform an agreed engagement, maintain business records and meet legal obligations.
Legal basis
Depending on the context, information is processed because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with a legal obligation or for the legitimate interests of operating and protecting the business.
Sharing and processors
Information may be handled by trusted service providers used for website hosting, business email, document storage and business administration. Hostinger provides the website hosting and business email used at launch. Information is shared only where reasonably necessary to operate the business, provide an agreed service or meet a legal obligation. It is not sold.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not become client engagements are normally retained for no longer than 12 months after the last substantive contact. Client and project records are normally retained for seven years after the engagement ends, unless a longer or shorter period is required by law or is reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to receive certain information in a portable form.
Cookies and analytics
The current site draft does not set analytics or advertising cookies. If analytics or other optional technologies are introduced, this notice and the site’s consent mechanism will be updated before they are enabled.
